MOHLABETSI SAFARI LODGE
Situated in the Balule Nature Reserve which is integrated into the greater Kruger National Park, Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge is part of a vast unfenced reserve covering 65, 000 square kilometres. A drive of approximately 5 hours from Johannesburg will take you from the hustle and bustle of the city into the heart of safari country where sightings of members of the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) are frequent.
The free flow of wild game across this huge territory also allows the guest the opportunity of viewing some of Africa’s other wild inhabitants including many species of antelope. A paradise for the bird enthusiast, over 400 different resident and migrant species are found across the area, from tiny sunbirds to mighty raptors.
Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge is a small and intimate camp with just six African rondavels and two family Lodges. The rooms, with al fresco showers, are decorated using indigenous themes inspired by local culture. Gourmet meals are served in unusual surroundings to optimise your safari experience.
Morning and afternoon game drives are conducted in open safari vehicles, accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable rangers and trackers. These professionals are always ready to point out interesting sights to make your safari through this pristine land a memorable occasion with the myriad encounters you will experience.
